Throwing Up the Deuces to Fear✌🏾

Psalm 134:14

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are they works: and that my soul knoweth right well. (KJV)

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (NIV)

I should be adding a period and ending this post now. I can give you 5, 10, 20 ways to help kick fear in the butt but the only 1 reason you need to help devour self-doubt is Psalms 139:14. No other explanations, excuses, etc. That's it. HE created us and thats all the reassurance we need to press forward and DO what seems impossible.

But because we have all felt some type of way, I shall lay upon you these 5 bullet points about destructing fear.

1.Fear, what's that?- Fear is that subconscious sideline hater trying to distract you from greatness. It's all the doubt, concern and worry about failing. It's real, it exists and often times haunts us. False evidence appearing real, right? It's a silent creeper of inadequacy and lack. It's time to say goodbye to it. Like forreal, forreal!

2. Intuition- Trusting your instincts. You know that gut feeling when you're in transit somewhere and you decide to take the freeway instead of listening to your gut and taking the street. 10 mins later, you're in gridlock traffic. Its that intuition when you know what you know. Listen to your gut, your heart, your mind and push the silent creeper aside. Your soul know what's best.

3. Attempt- Taking the time to try it. Whatever it looks like. Attempt is the first step at kicking fear in its backside. I'll never regret launching my blog and stretching myself. I'll never ever regret starting my healthy lifestyle change. I said bye to fear and Wala! What's better than trying.

4. Death-But did you die??? So you've gotten past the first stages. You've identified what fear is, you've followed your intuition, you've taken the first attempt. Now look around...are you still here, have you learned anything. Did you gain big wins or take tiny l's. Whatever the case, you didn't die and ultimately your attempt and goal in trying is worth more than any failure. You did it sis! You got this! and you're still living, breathing and being.

5. Learning- to listen, to be present and to empower. Now we take our experiences, we learn, we grow, we proceed. I remember hosting an 8Story event that I deemed as a failure. I was devastated and ready to quit my dream. I took that blow hard because 1) I felt defeated and 2) I felt unsupported. But guess what!!! If you have a heart for your passion, you feel down for all of 2seconds and then you remember why you started in the first place. I took time to listen, to be present and to do this, empower you. If I did it, trust and believe, you can do it. Don't forget I'm just a little yellow girl from the Westside of Detroit. Living, learning, growing, EVERYDAY. Let's say buh bye to FEAR and do what we were created to do. CREATE!

Until next time,

Peace & Sweet Dreaming,
